Q. Who is eligible to join?
Any active blogger or podcaster is eligible. However, we do have humans who will review each blog/podcast to insure that new content is being created at least on a monthly basis and that there's no spam, pornographic, distasteful or hateful material involved.
Q. What is the cost to join the Blogger & Podcaster Network?
There is no cost to join and there is no exclusivity or cancellation requirements. Members may join any other network that serves their needs and may cancel membership in the Blogger & Podcaster Media Network at any time, without penalty, for any reason whatsoever.
Q. Are there any obligations of members?
There are two obligations for members: 1) Each member agrees to link to The Blogger & Podcaster Guide, our networks "TV Guide" for blogs and podcasts. This enables each member to play a helpful role promote their colleagues content; 2) The first $5 of earned commissions each month will go to The Blogger & Podcaster Network to help offset operating costs.
Q. How will the affiliate program work?
This is another aspect that is not yet finalized. However we have decided that the BPMN will return 70% of net revenues to members and will offer a multi-tiered affiliate program that will offer members a revenue share off of the bloggers/podcasters they refer into the BPMN. Members may join now and begin referring in their colleagues. Anyone referring in a new member will automatically have that new member as part of their network and will receive a portion of the revenues they generate, irregardless of when the specifics of the program are finalized.
Q. When does the Blogger & Podcaster Network start?
Bloggers and Podcasters may currently register to be approved for membership. Different aspects of the network will roll out beginning Spring 2009. A more detailed time line will be published as dates are confirmed.
Q. What companies joined together to create The Blogger & Podcaster Media Network?
As of October 28, 2008 there are 4: Fuel My Blog (U.K.'s leading blog social network), Podcast Pickle (The original podcast social network), SocialRank (blog discovery engine)and Blogger & Podcaster Magazine.
